Runway: Job Transition ("Runway," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information you provide during onboarding:

• Employment separation type (laid off, fired, or quit)
• State of residence (limited to WA, CA, NY, TX, FL)
• Income and pay frequency
• Whether you have dependents
• Whether you had employer-provided insurance
• Last day of work (if applicable)

Information generated through app usage:

• Checklist completion progress
• Job search applications and activities you log
• Financial calculator inputs (savings, expenses, severance)

Analytics data:

• We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics such as screen views, feature engagement, and app performance metrics. This data is not tied to your personal identity.

Subscription data:

• We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your purchase through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information directly.

How Your Data Is Stored

Runway is designed with a local-first architecture. All personal data you enter — your onboarding answers, checklist progress, job applications, and financial information — is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

We do not create user accounts, and we do not require your name, email address, or any contact information to use the app.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate your personalized job transition plan
• To calculate your estimated unemployment benefits and financial runway
• To provide state-specific guidance and deadline reminders
• To track your job search activities for certification purposes
• To improve the app experience through anonymous analytics

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only third-party services that receive data are:

• PostHog — anonymous usage analytics (no personal data)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (processes through Apple/Google, we don't see payment details)

Data Retention

Since your data is stored locally on your device, it persists until you either delete the app or use the "Reset Everything" option in Settings. We have no ability to access or delete your on-device data remotely.

Anonymous analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies.

Children's Privacy

Runway is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• View all data the app stores by using the app normally
• Delete all data by using "Reset Everything" in Settings or uninstalling the app
• Modify your onboarding information through "Edit Info" in Settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
